This site is intended as an open, free resource on the subject of Spectral Emissivity (Spectral Emittance). The subject databases are open and free as are our rss newsfeeds
It was initially developed by the staff at the MeasurementMedia Network, a division of Temperatures.com, Inc.. The initial content is by them, but it is expected that others will join in the effort to provide a Web wide catalog of resources and data for all.
You are welcome to join and contribute at any time. There is no fee and all contributors are given credit or attribution. However, all inputs are subject to review and editing and may not be accepted.
We are always looking for Co-editors to help vet the contributions and search for more. If you are interested, let us know via a comment or email to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org (the latter address has been spammed greatly and has had some reliability issues)
However, we do not welcome spammers or hackers and will do everything within our ability to keep such actions from this site and to permanently ban those who participate in them .
After all, that is the vision of the founders of the Web, openness and a positive attitude towards sharing knowledge. We expect to keep the site running in its niche for as long as possible.
